Everything you need to know about lessons with Ojo Coaching Academy
You'll need to bring your own tennis racquet. I provide tennis balls for all lessons. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and proper tennis shoes. I also recommend bringing water to stay hydrated during your lesson.
I bring tennis balls to every lesson. However, you'll need to bring your own racquet. If you're just starting out and don't have a racquet yet, I can provide recommendations on what type of racquet would work best for you.
Life happens! I understand plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. For package deals, lessons can be rescheduled to fit your schedule.
I teach at Colina Del Sol Park in San Diego, which has outdoor tennis courts. San Diego's great weather means we can play year-round! In the rare case of rain or extreme weather, we'll reschedule your lesson.
After booking a lesson package through the website and completing payment, I'll contact you via email to schedule your first lesson time. You can also reach out directly via email at tobi@ojocoachingacademy.com to schedule.
I work with high school students and adults of all skill levels - beginners just starting out, intermediate players looking to improve, and advanced/competitive players. Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or fine-tuning your tournament game, I can help you reach your goals.
All lessons are one hour long. This gives us enough time to warm up, work on technique, practice, and cool down. For beginners, we might take short breaks as needed.
Yes! I offer semi-private lessons for 2 people. This is perfect for couples, friends, or family members who want to learn together. Semi-private lessons are $120/hour for 2 people, with package discounts available.
I focus on both the mechanical and psychological foundations of your game. With 22+ years of playing experience and 14+ years of teaching, I identify issues quickly and provide clear, actionable feedback. I break down complex movements step-by-step and tailor each lesson to your specific needs and goals. Many students see improvement in just a few lessons!
Absolutely! Gift packages make perfect presents for tennis enthusiasts. You can purchase a 1-hour gift lesson ($100) or a 3-hour gift package ($250). The recipient can then schedule their lessons at their convenience. Gift certificates are a great way to introduce someone to tennis or help them improve their game!
